Hello, my name is Tony Madieros, creator of Rostershots.com. I've always been fascinated by railroad locomotives and the thrill of taking that perfect rostershot. I've always enjoyed taking 1 to 2 day railfanning trips to some of my favorite locations: The Bay Area, Roseville, West Colton, Stockton, San Bernardino, Bakersfield and Barstow. My favorite railroad photos has always been the Rostershot, clean, perfect sun, 3/4 view, sharp and uncoupled. My goal is to have every Rostershot be perfect, but there will be those times when a rare or unusual units might appear coupled, rear view or under cloudy skies, that is a must for the collection. You will see some of these shots at Rostershots.com. I've purchased a fair amount of slides over the years, from some of the great rail photographers, but the one thing I never liked is that you never know what the slide looked like until you received it. Also, I also feel that what is missing from rail photography, is affordable prints. At Rostershots.com, all available images will be on the web page to be viewed, so you know exactly what you are buying. The goal is to have the website updated every week. Thank you, Tony Madieros |
